SEATTLE — Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Seattle next week to attend the annual Microsoft Technology Forum.

KING-TV reports that the Chinese leader will visit the event that boasts CEOs from technology leaders in America such as Apple, Facebook, IBM and Google. He is also expected to dine at the Medina home of Bill Gates.

Former Washington Governor and former U.S. Ambassador to China Gary Locke says the Seattle visit is important as a quarter of the state’s exports go to China.
