AquaSox fall 7-6 to Spokane in 10 innings

SPOKANE — Connor McKay’s RBI single with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted the Spokane Indians to a 7-6 victory over the Everett AquaSox in a Northwest League baseball game on Tuesday night.

The AquaSox maintained their 4-game lead in the NWL North Division when second-place Vancouver lost 8-6 to Tri-City. The Sox’s magic number for clinching the North title is two with five games left on the schedule.

Spokane’s Sherman Lacrus hit a one-out two-run home run off Everett reliever Joey Strain in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the score at 6-6.

Jordan Cowan hit a two-run single in the top of the sixth to give the AquaSox a 2-0 lead.

Ryan Uhl hit an RBI double as Everett scored four runs in the top of the seventh to take a 6-1 lead.

Spokane scored two in the seventh and one in the eighth before tying the score on Lacrus’ home run in the ninth inning.
