Detour alert: Full road closures in Snohomish County

There are several full road closures scheduled in Snohomish County:

In the French Creek area, 167th Avenue SE between Westwick and Butler roads will be closed through 5 p.m. Sept. 8, or whenever the project is complete. Snohomish County Road Maintenance crews are making erosion repairs.

In Edmonds, an emergency closure of 164th Street SW at 48th Place W and portions of 48th Place is expected to last through Sept. 11. A contractor is installing a sewer tap at a house.

In Arlington, Cemetery Road between 200th Street NE and 47th Avenue NE is scheduled to close from 7 a.m. Sept. 8 to 5 p.m. Sept. 25, followed by a single-lane closure through 5 p.m. Oct. 2 or when the project is completed. Snohomish County Road Maintenance crews will make road subgrade repairs.

There also are projects we’ve covered in The Herald earlier, such as shoulder and drainage work along Broadway Avenue in Snohomish.

Weather can always throw a wrench in roadwork plans. Stay up to date on the county’s Roads page, and see the full list of road closures, at http://snohomishcountywa.gov/1816/Roads-Update.
