Arlington man allegedly shoots wife, holes up in home

ARLINGTON— Negotiators were trying to get a 63-year-old man to surrender after he allegedly shot his wife and holed up in their home Saturday evening.

The 61-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and is reportedly in stable condition, according to a news release from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The Everett and Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office regional SWAT team responded to the call and negotiators remained on scene after 8 p.m. Saturday. Deputies first responded to the call just after 5 p.m. off Highway 9 north of Arlington city limits.
