Ride the bus to the Fair

The Evergreen State Fair runs Aug. 27 to Labor Day, Sept. 7, and Community Transit will again offer special Fair Days bus service — for less than the cost of a funnel cake.

Community Transit Routes 270 and 271 will serve the Evergreen State Fair from Gold Bar and Everett. Busses are scheduled to run every 30 minutes during the weekday morning and evening peak, with hourly service in the middle of the day and at night.

Except for early morning trips, Routes 270 and 271 will serve a stop at the west gate of the fairgrounds. On weekday afternoons, commuter Routes 277 (Boeing to Gold Bar) and 424 (downtown Seattle to Snohomish) also will stop at the west gate.

Only Route 271 operates on Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day. On Saturdays, the bus runs every hour. Service is every two hours on Sundays and Labor Day.

Bus fare is $2.25 for adults, $1.50 for kids ages 6 to 18, and $1 for people with a reduced fare permit. Children 5 and under are free.

Real-time bus information is available at mybusfinder.org.

The last trips leaving the fairgrounds will be:

– Weekdays at 8:37 p.m. to Everett; 9:20 p.m. to Gold Bar

– Saturdays at 8:43 p.m. to Everett; 8:40 p.m. to Gold Bar

– Sundays/Labor Day at 7:34 p.m. to Everett; 7:40 p.m. to Gold Bar
