Snohomish man, 32, killed in head-on crash

SNOHOMISH — A man died Sunday night after a crash on 92nd Street SE near Snohomish.

The head-on collision, in the 11300 block, was reported to 911 around 10:45 p.m. after the man’s car struck a sport utility vehicle, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

The Snohomish man, 32, died at the scene and the driver and passenger of the SUV sustained minor injuries, Ireton said.

Collision Investigation Unit detectives believe the man was traveling at high speed westbound on 92nd Street when the crash occurred, Ireton said.

Identification of the man, as well as the cause and manner of death, are pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
