Coastal opens first Marysville branch

MARYSVILLE — Coastal Community Bank has opened its first location in Marysville and its 12th branch overall.

The Everett-based bank plans to hold a ribbon-cutting and community barbecue at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the branch at 319 State Ave., Suite 105, at the corner of Fourth Street and State Avenue. The branch flanks a new multi-unit retail center in the parking lot of the Marysville Mall.

The branch will be managed by Erin Reynolds, a former regional vice president for the American Cancer Society.

“As a client and community partner, I took notice of how Coastal worked with community businesses and nonprofit organizations and approached them about new opportunities in north Snohomish County,” said Reynolds in a statement. “After serving as a liaison between Coastal and my hometown during the wake of the 530 Slide, I knew this was the perfect fit for me.”

Other branch officers include Jan Buckner, vice president and loan relationship manager; Whitney Warner, assistant manager; and Michelle Wetzel, customer service representative.

The branch is celebrating the opening this week with account specials and prize drawings. The branch is also collecting office supplies and helping raise awareness for the Marysville non-profit, Eagle Wings disAbility Ministries, which works on behalf of people with disabilities and their families.

People who attend the community barbecue are asked to bring new office supplies for Eagle Wings. Coastal expects the branch to participate in future fundraisers for other nonprofits.

Coastal Community Bank was founded in 1997 and operates throughout the north Puget Sound area. The bank employs 155 people and has $589 million in assets. More information can be found at www.coastalbank.com.
