Man hospitalized after being hit by train in Everett

EVERETT — A man was taken to a Seattle hospital Saturday morning after being hit by a train in north Everett.

Police and medics were called to the south end of the Delta Yard near I-5 around 10 a.m.

The man’s injuries were considered life threatening, Everett Fire Marshal Rick Robinson said.

The man was taken by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center. His age was not available.

A sergeant with the police department’s Collision Investigation Unit was at the scene. The circumstances behind the incident, which involved an Amtrak train, is under investigation, Everett police Sgt. Ryan Dalberg said.
