Two join Mountain Pacific Bank board of directors

Everett-headquartered Mountain Pacific Bank has added two new members to its board of directors. Maddy Metzger-Utt has been the president/CEO of the Greater Everett Community Foundation since 2005. Prior to that, she spent 12 years as an executive director of two non-profit organizations in Snohomish County. Cameron Smock has been president/CEO of Bonney-Watson Memorial Corp. since 2007. He is a licensed funeral director and has served in a variety of management positions with that company.

Free tax workshop for small businesses in Lynnwood

The Washington State Department of Revenue is hosting a free workshop on tax reporting for small business owners from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday in Lynnwood. Attendees receive a workbook and helpful reference guide to Revenue’s rules and regulations. Teens can learn about construction trades in Arlington

Workforce Snohomish is partnering with Snohomish County Labor Council and others to offer teens a free four-day program to introduce them to the construction trades. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 17 through 20 at the Arlington airport at 18204 59th Drive NE, Arlington. Teens who are between the ages of 16 and 18 can register for this program online at www.workforcesnohomish.org/advance/cfutures/.

Massage therapy business opens in Everett

Kristen Davis Bowen Therapy has opened at 2722 Colby Ave., Suite 328, in Everett. Bowen massage therapy uses no oils and can be performed with light clothing. It is suitable for injuries, pain, trauma, anxiety and more. Owner Kristen Davis has been a licensed massage therapist for 15 years and, after three years of study, became a certified Bowenwork therapist last year.
