Police nab alleged car prowler in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — A Kirkland man accused of trying to steal from cars at the Alderwood mall ended up in more hot water after he allegedly tried to flee.

The incident occurred Thursday evening.

When security spotted him, the man, 26, allegedly hit two cars while trying to get out of the parking lot.

He then crashed his car in the 21100 block of 28th Avenue W.

A homeowner reported spotting the man in a back yard in the 2600 block of Elm Way.

Police arrested the man for investigation of theft, malicious mischief, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, two counts of hit-and-run and vehicle prowling.
