Arlington woman dies in Skagit motorcycle crash

MOUNT VERNON — A 60-year-old Arlington woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in a motorcycle accident Friday.

The woman was riding a 1998 Honda VT600C south on Highway 9 near Big Lake. At about 2:20 p.m., she left the roadway to the right near Devils Creek Road and struck the guardrail.

The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she later died.

She was wearing a helmet in the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol. Drugs or alcohol were not believed to be involved in the crash.
