Woman found in Ebey Slough identified

EVERETT — The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the body of a woman found in Ebey Slough on June 23 as Stephanie S. Kensinger, 22, of Everson in Whatcom County.

Witnesses called the police when they saw a woman’s body floating face down in the water at about 8:30 p.m. the night before.

Kensinger was located and pulled from the water the next day near the 630 block of Sunnyside Boulevard.

Kensinger’s death is considered suspicious and homicide detectives have been investigating.

The medical examiner has not determined cause and manner of death.
