LYNNWOOD — A Mountlake Terrace man and his two young daughters have been released from the hospital after a June 19 crash on I-5.
The Washington State Patrol report is not yet complete, but no criminal charges are expected, trooper Heather Axtman said Thursday.
The man’s Cadillac DeVille flew off of northbound I-5 in the Lynnwood area and went down an embankment about 7 p.m.
His daughters, 6 and 9, were injured. All three were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and since have been released.
There is no indication that more than one vehicle was involved, according to police.
The man, 33, said he overcorrected while attempting a lane change. He said he credits the use of seat belts for saving his family.
Witnesses saw the man and two girls climbing up the embankment after the crash, Axtman said. The man was carrying one of his injured daughters. Earlier reports had said the family had been extricated by rescuers.
