Business Builder Expo planned in Lynnwood
The second annual Business Builder Expo is planned from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Lynnwood Convention center, 3711 196th St. SW, Lynnwood.
The expo is the brainchild of businesswomen Claudia Smith and Judy Elrod of Murphy Business &Financial Corp. Stone Soup dinner raises $238,000 for Housing Hope
Housing Hope has thanked a long list of supporters of its Stone Soup dinner that raised a net of more than $238,000 on May 14. Premier sponsors of the event included BECU, Boeing, The Everett Clinic, Heritage Bank and Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish County. Everett Floral and StockPot were separately mentioned for their in-kind services and donations.
New president chosen for Bastyr University
After an extensive nationwide search, Bastyr University selected Charles “Mac” Powell as its new president. He will oversee the university’s campuses and clinics located in Kenmore and San Diego, California. Powell comes to Bastyr from John F. Kennedy University where he served as president. He takes over for outgoing Bastyr President Daniel K. Church who steps down at the end of June.
