LYNNWOOD — Bartell Drugs plans to open its newest store in Lynnwood on Friday, the Seattle-based chain’s 15th location in Snohomish County.
The 15,000-square-foot building features a distinctive clock tower, a full-service pharmacy, a market with regionally produced products and a print studio. The store is located at 2518 196th St. SW near the Barnes &Noble and Best Buy stores.
The project team included Seattle architect Lance Mueller &Associatesa and general contractor J.R. Abbott.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. May 28. The store plans to hold grand-opening festivities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 30. Events include a free hot dog cookout served by volunteers from the Lynnwood Rotary (while supplies last.) A performance is planned by the “AMS Jazz Band” from Alderwood Middle School, noon to 12:30 p.m.
The pharmacy will hold free or discounted health screening services for blood pressure, cholesterol, bone density and diabetes/glucose from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Several vendors plan to offer free samples or special offers. Free drawings for prizes are also planned.
Store hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Pharmacy hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
