Mark Medema: The Lynnwood painter will show 25 paintings in one-night show at 7 p.m. April 17 at Jet Bar &Grill, 800 164th St. SE, Mill Creek. Medema uses a special technique in his acrylic paintings and the technique has a patent pending.

Everett Public Schools high school art show: Open for public viewing through April 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Community Resource Center, 3900 Broadway. The awards reception will be held there at 6 p.m. April 20.

Woodcarving show: Quilceda Carvers Club of Marysville presents its 30th annual carving show, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 18 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 19 at Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts, 1410 Grove St., Marysville. BEE-utiful Quilts: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 25 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 26, Evergreen State Fairgrounds, Monroe. More than 250 quilts and quilted items, demonstrations, a vendor mall, a boutique, raffle drawings and a treasure hunt for kids.

It’s Raining Art: Marysville Arts Coalition art show, 4 to 8 p.m. April 24 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 25, Red Curtain Arts Center, 1410 Grove St., Marysville. Includes fine art, pottery, mosaics, textiles, leather work, woodcrafts, photography, jewelry, stained glass. Admission is free. Crafts available for kids.

Elizabeth Person and Michael Webber display more than 40 pieces, including sketches, paintings and design projects. Person is an Everett-based graphic designer and artist who designs for the Everett cultural arts department and has served as a cultural arts commissioner for Everett since 2011. Webber keeps a sketchbook with him at all times and captures scenes from the Puget Sound area with pen and ink. He is on a mission to visit and sketch every state capitol building and hopes to someday illustrate a book about the adventure.
