Professional organizer publishes book on productivity tips

Local professional organizer and productivity consultant Monika Kristofferson has had a book published. “Productivity Bites: Concise, Practical Productivity Tips &Resources to Save Time and Cultivate Life Balance” became available in paperback and eBook formats from Amazon on April 2. Kristofferson is a featured speaker, columnist The Herald Business Journal and the Lake Stevens Ledger, and GO System Certified Trainer.

Bartell Drugs donates teddy bears

Bartell Drugs is once again teaming up with Warm 106.9 FM in their annual Teddy Bear Patrol campaign. Through May 2, purchase an official Bartell Bear for $8 and Bartells will donate a second bear to be donated to children in stressful or traumatic situations. The annual drive puts the teddy bears in the hands of community police departments, hospitals and emergency response teams.

Spring-time events planned for Barnes &Noble

Barnes &Noble at Alderwood Mall has announced a number of upcoming events including a Springtime Craft activity for the American Girl Club at 7 p.m. Thursday and the appearance of teen mystery author Gretchen McNeil at 7 p.m. April 15. April 11 to 19 is also Special Educator Week and features additional events.

New partners for Marysville School District’s Opportunity Expo

The Marysville School District has added three new partners for the Opportunity Expo this year: Everett Community College, Washington State University and the Everett University Center. The Opportunity Expo will be held on the Everett Community College campus on April 28. It is designed to give students an overview of all of the educational opportunities open to them locally.

U-Haul trucks, support offered at Edmonds store

Gedamu Ege and Melese Worku, co-owners of Star Mini Mart &Deli in Edmonds, recently partnered with U-Haul to offer trucks and support rental items at their convenience store. Star Mini Mart &Deli had served as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer under the previous owners so the decision to continue the U-Haul services was an easy one.
