EVERETT — Community Transit on Thursday announced four finalists under consideration to be the agency’s CEO.
Community Transit conducted a national search to find a replacement for CEO Joyce Eleanor. Eleanor retired Aug. 20, 2014, after 20 years on the job.
The four finalists are Emmett Heath, Tom Hingson, Ron Kilcoyne and Fred Worthen.
The Community Transit board of directors plans to conduct its final interviews Thursday and Friday and announce its selection at its monthly meeting March 5.
Two finalists are internal candidates.
Heath has been the director of administration for Community Transit for the past 10 years. He also has held management positions for Snohomish County Public Utility District and King County Metro Transit.
Worthen is the director of transportation for the agency, a position he has held for 10 years, and came to Everett after working in management for several transit agencies in Texas.
Hingson is the transportation services and transit director for Everett Transit, a position he’s held since 2006. He previously worked at Community Transit as a planner and coach operator.
Kilcoyne has been general manager for the Lane Transit District in Eugene, Oregon, since 2011 He previously was CEO of the Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and the transit manager for the city of Santa Clarita, California.
The Community Transit board holds its next meeting at 3 p.m. March 5 in the Community Transit Corporate Board Room, 7100 Hardeson Road, Everett.
