EDMONDS — Windy weekend weather caused scattered power outages and road closures in Snohomish County.
Highway 99 in Edmonds was closed Sunday between 244th Street SW and 238th Street SW after a power pole fell across the road, according to police.
Power outages primarily targeted south county, peaking around 15,000 early Sunday, the Snohomish County PUD reported. Outages were down to about 2,000 as of early Sunday evening.
The wind knocked down trees and utility poles elsewhere, too, causing problems.
