EDMONDS — A confrontation in an Edmonds parking lot ended in violence Saturday night when a car prowler stabbed a Domino’s Pizza employee.
The employee, a 40-year-old man, found the car prowler outside the business in the 22900 block of Highway 99, Edmonds police Sgt. Mark Marsh said.
The suspect stabbed the victim in the stomach and ran away at about 11:30 p.m., Marsh said. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He underwent emergency surgery and was expected to be interviewed by detectives Sunday.
A manhunt for the suspect came up empty. He was described as black, in his mid-20s and wearing dark clothing and a backpack. No additional information was released by police on Sunday while the investigation continued.
