MILL CREEK — A 24-year-old man was being held at the Snohomish County Jail on Saturday in connection with a homicide in Mill Creek.
Police allege that the suspect attacked his grandparents late Thursday with a knife, killing his 83-year-old grandmother and wounding his 83-year-old grandfather.
The suspect was booked Friday evening for investigation of second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder, according to jail records.
The stabbing was reported just before midnight in the 3900 block of 145th Street SE, Mill Creek police officer Ian Durkee said.
A search warrant was served at the home on Friday. Police believe they recovered the knife that was used in the attack, Durkee said.
The suspect declined to speak with detectives. The grandfather was listed Friday in stable condition at a local hospital, Durkee said.
Earlier police reports misstated the suspect’s age.
