EVERETT — Everett High School was evacuated Wednesday morning after a written bomb threat was found in a girl’s bathroom.
The threat was on a note discovered during third period, school district spokeswoman Mary Waggoner said. The note said a bomb would go off at the end of that period.
Police swept the campus, nothing suspicious was found and classes resumed. A letter about what happened also was sent to parents.
District officials are hoping to have a conversation with families on ways to encourage students to stop making bogus threats, which take away from learning time and public resources, Waggoner said.
A bomb threat can be a felony offense.
