EVERETT — Electric Mirror, which makes high-end mirrors for hotels and upscale homes, was recognized earlier this month for entering the new export market of the Maldives, an island nation in the Indian Ocean.
Rep. Rick Larsen brought the Export Achievement Certificate to the company’s factory near Paine Field. The award recognizes small- and medium-sized companies that have successfully exported to a new company. Only a few are awarded in the state each year.
“Since our inception, we have been dedicated to creating American jobs and exporting our product worldwide,” said Jim Mischel, Electric Mirror CEO. “We currently employ more than 300 skilled workers in our facility; all are producing Lighted Mirror and Mirror TV technology for hotel projects around the world. We are so proud of that achievement and are grateful for the support of the people at the Seattle (U.S. Export Assistance Center) office for all of their hard work in helping us open this new market.”
For the past 16 years, Electric Mirror has become an industry leader in design and manufacturing of sophisticated, high-quality lighted mirrors and mirror TV technology, which serves the hospitality, commercial and residential industries.
Sales to leading hotels such as St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton, Fairmont, Four Seasons, Jumeirah, JW Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and Sheraton have led to increased exports into the Middle East, Asia and Europe.
