LYNNWOOD — Three people were wounded Wednesday night after a 24-year-old Lynnwood man went on a rampage with a sword, according to police.
The melee was reported at 9:10 p.m. in an unincorporated area between Lynnwood and Mukilteo.
The first 911 caller reported a man bleeding and yelling for help in the 13800 block of Fender Drive, north of Lake Serene, Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Susy Johnson said. That man, 29, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Within five minutes, a woman reported that the suspect, her grandson, had attacked her along Fender Drive as well. She had minor injuries.
At 9:30 p.m., a third victim walked into the Dollar Tree store at 13619 Highway 525 and asked for help. That victim, a 40-year-old man, had a large cut to his hand. He also was hospitalized.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail early Thursday morning for investigation of first-degree domestic-violence assault.
Other details were not released pending the man’s bail hearing Friday.
