EVERETT — No serious injuries were reported Sunday night after a crash involving a Washington State Patrol trooper on I-5.
The crash was reported just before 6:30 p.m. near the Everett Mall exit.
An Everett man, 50, was northbound in a 2000 Honda Civic when he rear-ended the trooper’s Ford Crown Victoria as she was slowing down. The trooper, 28, was stopping to talk to a pedestrian on the highway, according to a State Patrol memo. Both drivers suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected.
