Former Boeing Vice President Carolyn Corvi is coming to Bellingham Oct. 17 to make a presentation titled, “Strategic Decisions — Competing in a Duopoly.”
The presentation is part of Western Washington University’s College of Business and Economics’ Strategic Management Executive Series. It goes from 3 to 4 p.m. on Friday in Parks Hall room 146.
After 34 years at Boeing, Corvi now serves on the board of directors of United Airlines, Allegheny Technologies Inc. and Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc., according to a press release from Western Washington University.
Corvi, who lives in the greater Seattle area, co-founded the Northwest Children’s Fund. She also served for 12 years on Virginia Mason Medical Center’s board, and continues to serve as a board member at the Virginia Mason Institute. She’s also a trustee at the Seattle Foundation and the Museum of Flight.
Corvi has a master’s degree in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Washington.
