EVERETT — Police in Everett are investigating a Thursday night traffic accident that sent a 9-year-old girl to the hospital after she was hit walking across a street.
The girl was struck in the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Pine Street around 7:45 p.m., Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. She was in the crosswalk when she was hit by the vehicle, which was westbound.
Her injuries were not considered life threatening. She was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The driver remained at the scene for the investigation.
It did not appear that alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision, Snell said.
