P.F. Chang’s horse statue in Lynnwood to be painted pink
At 4 p.m. Tuesday, P.F. Chang’s restaurant in Lynnwood will raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s fight against breast cancer with the “Paint P.F. Chang’s Pink” rally event. Employees, breast cancer survivors and the community will paint the restaurants’ iconic 11-foot warrior horse pink for the month of October.
Environmental firm takes green pledge in Edmonds
The City of Edmonds recently recognized Landau Associates for its commitment to green business practices and pledge to participate in the City’s Edmonds Green Business program. The company formed an internal sustainability committee in 2007 to further its goal of conducting business with the lowest possible impact to the environment.
Lynnwood elementary receives iPads
A special assembly was held on Sept. 24 at Meadowdale Elementary in Lynnwood to dedicate a new Apple iPad Learning Lab. Funds for lab equipment were generated from a spring 2014 event hosted by a partnership between Jacksons Food Stores and the Dairy Farmers of Washington. A total of 16 iPads were donated.

Port, city of Everett hold joint meeting on waterfront project
The Port of Everett and the City of Everett are hosting an open house to share information on new plans for the Waterfront Place Central Development. The event is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a brief presentation at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Waterfront Center Blue Heron Room, 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett.
