GETCHELL — The search continues for a man suspected of a burglary in the Getchell area on Wednesday.
Neighbors in the area of 90th Street NE, east of Marysville, saw extensive police activity during the manhunt.
Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies were called about 1:30 p.m. to a home on the street, spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
A homeowner interrupted a burglary and chased the suspect, who then climbed out a window.
The suspect tried to make off with two tablet computers but dropped them during the chase, Ireton said. He then ran into the woods.
Later in the day, a Marysville police officer reported seeing the suspect in the area again, and a second search took place until nearly 5 p.m.
Within 90 minutes after that, another neighbor called 911 to say that the suspect may have been hiding in a motor home. A third wave of the search also was unsuccessful, Ireton said.
The burglar was described as white and in his mid-20s. He wore a brown fedora hat, brown leather jacket, plaid shirt, blue jeans and Vans brand sneakers.
