The Post and Courier of Charleston reported that the aerospace company has leased a 100,000-square-foot building in North Charleston for a new research center that will employ as many as 400 people.
Boeing’s Research and Technology Center-South Carolina will open later this year and focus on advanced manufacturing technology and technology to make fuselages of composite materials.
The building is near another facility that makes cabin parts for the company’s 787 Dreamliner.
