Open house planned on Waterfront Place in Everett

The Port of Everett and the City of Everett are hosting an open house to share information on new plans for the Waterfront Place Central Development and the State Environmental Protection Act amendment on the project. The event is from 6 to 8 p.m., with a brief presentation at 6:45 p.m., on Sept. 30 at the Waterfront Center’s Blue Heron Room, 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett.

Discussion planned on how to live with diabetes

Dr. Natalia Usoltseva with Cascade Skagit Health Alliance will provide information about how to live well with the diagnosis of the diabetes. This free discussion is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 25 in the second floor lobby at 3823 172nd St. NE, Arlington. Registration is required. Call 360-629-6481.

Snohomish chamber hosts classic car, hot rod show

The annual Snohomish Classic Car &Hot Rod Display, a Snohomish Chamber of Commerce fundraising event, comes to downtown Snohomish from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 28. Free to the public, spectators can spend the day in Historic Downtown Snohomish viewing vintage, classic, hot rod, and unusual vehicles. Information is at www.cityofsnohomish.com.

‘Schmooze Cruise’ planned in Skagit County

The Economic Development Association of Skagit County will present their annual Schmooze Cruise to coincide with National Manufacturing Day on Oct. 3. Guests will receive tours of up to eight local manufacturing facilities including Deception Distilling, Dimensional Communications, Fairhaven Organic Mills, Hexcel, Janicki Industries, PACCAR, Skagit Publishing and Shell. Tulalip Cabela’s plans ‘Ladies Day Out’

Cabela’s celebrates the growing number of women enjoying the outdoors with Ladies’ Day Out, set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Cabela’s store located at 9810 Quil Ceda Blvd., Tulalip. The event includes hands-on demonstrations, seminars, giveaways, samples and more. A full schedule of Ladies’ Day Out events will be available at Cabelas.com/tulalip.

Open house planned for Bothell clinic

N1Health and Northshore Family Practice will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Bothell and Woodinville chambers of commerce at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22 with an open house to follow. The open house will provide patients and the public an opportunity to view the new Bothell clinic and meet the medical providers. Light refreshments will be provided.

Permaculture, drip irrigation classes offered in Woodinville

In collaboration with the Saving Water Partnership, Cascade Water Alliance and the Woodinville Water District, 21 Acres in Woodinville is offering three free classes on permaculture and drip irrigation on Sept. 27.
