Mountlake Terrace engineering firm expands

Terracon Consultants, with offices in Mountlake Terrace, has added over a dozen staff to their Puget Sound area locations. The new staff includes Mike Noll, Sarah Kogler, Dennis Stettler, Alexandra Garner, Caitlin Price, Brett O’Brien, Tristan Anderson, Kyle Long, Sergey Lukin, Brandon Pysher, Van Le, Janine Burkhardt, and Joel Morder.

EvCC’s Advanced Manufacturing center plans grand opening

Gov. Jay Inslee will join Everett Community College in celebrating the opening of EvCC’s new Advanced Manufacturing Education and Training Center at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 at 909 N. Broadway, Everett. The 37,000-square-foot center is located in a remodeled college-owned warehouse at 2000 Tower St. Classes start Sept. 22.

Tulalip man joins Trout Unlimited board

Trout Unlimited volunteers have elected three new members to its national Board of Trustees including Mark Taylor of Tulalip. Taylor has volunteered for the organization for many years and is presently involved in work trying to restore the kokanee salmon run in Lake Sammamish. He has also served as Washington State’s representative on the National Leadership Council.

Grocery chain allows customers to buy charity milk vouchers

Milk is one of the most requested items at food banks yet it is also one of the least-donated. Through the end of September, the Kroger family of stores, including Fred Meyer, is inviting customers to purchase a $1, $3 or $5 milk voucher donation when checking out. Donations collected will benefit local food banks affiliated with Feeding America.

New skin-care clinic opens in Everett

Grove and Kane, a new skin-care clinic, opened in Everett on Aug. 2. Company president and licensed esthetician Karen Olsoy grew up in Mukilteo. The clinic, that is located at 520 128th Street SW No. A6, Everett, serves clients seven-days-a-week. Mortgage company opens Everett offices

Procura Mortgage Company has expanded to Washington with new office openings in Everett, Bellevue, Tacoma, and Puyallup. The company also maintains an office in Scottsdale, Arizona, which opened earlier this year. Procura Mortgage Company features an experienced team of local, licensed mortgage professionals.

Frontier offers enhanced broadband

Frontier Communications has announced that enhanced broadband speeds are now available to its FiOS serviceable footprint in Washington. Frontier’s enhanced FiOS broadband network now offers speeds up to 100 megabits per second to FiOS serviceable residential areas in Snohomish, Skagit, and King Counties.
