Judd &Black golf tournament raises money for Christmas House

Judd &Black showed its support for local community organizations at the conclusion of the company’s annual charity golf tournament on Aug. 17 at Battle Creek Golf Course. On behalf of Judd &Black, Cory Long presented an $8,000 check to Christmas House and a $3,000 check to the North Everett Boys &Girls Club.

Lynnwood bank hosts shredding event

The Lynnwood Branch of 1st Security Bank, located at 19002 33rd Ave. W, will host a Shredding and Electronic Waste Recycling Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. People may bring up to 10 boxes or bags of paper for shredding (per person) to be recycled free. Details are at www.fsbwa.com.

Edmonds real estate offices offers free shredding event

Windermere Real Estate Edmonds office is hosting a free paper shredding event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at its offices at 210 Fifth Ave. S., Suite 102. The real estate company is asking people who participate to bring non-perishable food for a drive for Edmonds area food banks. Donations for the food drive are also welcome.

Tourism grants in Snohomish available

The City of Snohomish is accepting applications from non-profit agencies for projects that assist tourism development and promotion in the community. Completed applications are due by 4 p.m. Sept. 30. No applications received after that time and date will be considered. Funds received to help aerospace exports

Washington State Department of Commerce will receive $300,000 from the International Trade Administration’s Market Development Cooperator Program to help the aerospace industry to generate exports to Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, and the United Kingdom. These funds are expected to generate an estimated $50 million in exports during the next three years by U.S. companies.

Cafe at Everett Station celebrates anniversary

Espresso Americano, the cafe inside Everett Station, is celebrating its 10 year anniversary the week of Sept. 22. To thank the community for their continued patronage over the years, the anniversary week will feature games, drawings, and prizes. Espresso Americano serves about 400 customers daily, many are residents of Everett. It opens at 5:30 a.m. each weekday, 7:30 a.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. Sundays. It’s owned by Steve and Annie Austin.
