EVERETT — I recently wrote about a new ride service app, Saytaxi, launching soon in Everett and Lynnwood. It is being offered by a local group, Saytaxi Washington, in partnership with the company which developed the app.
There are other ride services. I mentioned Uber in the article, the only company I was able to get a hold of on short notice.
Lyft also got back to me.
A spokeswoman said that “while Everett would be a great city for Lyft, we have no plans to launch there at this time.”
Lyft launched in Seattle in April 2013.
The San Francisco-based company has a 100-mile maximum drop off range, so riders can get picked up in the Seattle-area and dropped off in Everett. But they cannot get picked up in Everett.
