Party for WSU expansion, opening of football

Join Economic Alliance Snohomish County at a free event celebrating the expansion of WSU North Puget Sound and the University Center and the opening of football season. WSU’s athletic director Bill Moos, WSU North Puget Sound chancellor Bob Drewel and Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson will be present at the occasion that runs 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 26 at Historic Everett Theatre in Everett. Lake Stevens Rotarian of the Year named

The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens has selected Tracy DeLorm as the Rotarian of the Year for 2013-14. The Rotarian of the Year Award goes to members who have demonstrated exemplary service to the Rotary Club of Lake Stevens. DeLorm has been a member of the club since 2002 and has made major contributions serving on several committees.

Nightly Business Report producer, founding co-host to appear on radio show

This week on KSER 90.7 FM and KXIR 89.9 FM’s monthly personal finance show “Getting Your Dough to Rise,” host Chuck Noel welcomes Linda O’Bryon, producer and original co-host of PBS’s Nightly Business Report. Other guests include Bruce McClary of Clearpoint Credit Counseling Solutions and Nathalie Gautheron from Senior Services of Snohomish County. The program airs from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
