Latino Expo planned at EdCC

Edmonds Community College is partnering with the Latino Education Training Institute to host the Latino Expo. This free event is open to the public from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot near Snohomish Hall, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. The event will feature live performances, food and activities for the whole family.

CPA, attorney sought for Northshore Senior Center

The board of directors of Northshore Senior Center, which serves Bothell, Kenmore, Kirkland, Mill Creek and Woodinville, is actively searching for local members with expertise as a CPA and attorney to serve on the board. Expanded tasting room hours for Foggy Noggin Brewing

Foggy Noggin Brewing in Bothell will expand tasting room hours for the month of August. The tasting room will be open all five August Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m. and all five Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays feature a happy hour from noon to 1 p.m. with $1 off all pints.

Loans available for small businesses

The Washington State Department of Commerce has announced a new revolving loan fund that will help increase small business access to credit through the Washington Small Business Credit Initiative. With the new Collateral Support Program, SSBCI funds will reduce banks’ credit risks and help programs developed by the state to use U.S. Small Business Administration loans to finance more businesses.
