Boeing employees volunteer at Clothes For Kids

Clothes For Kids welcomed 23 Boeing employees and retired Sno-King Bluebills for the Global Day of Service on July 12. The volunteers helped to set up shelving and clothing racks and assisted with transporting coats and shoes from the organization’s storage unit. They also assisted with inventory and set up.

New officers, directors for Soroptimist International of Everett

Soroptimist International of Everett has installed new officers and directors for the 2014-15 year including president Donna Stringer, vice president Marina Ball, recording secretary Debbie Blodgett and many others. The club meets from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Everett Golf &Country Club every second and fourth Wednesday of the month.

Bothell video company recognized

Apollo Video Technology in Bothell has been recognized with the gold award from New Flyer Industries Canada for delivery performance in the 2013 calendar year. The award marks the fourth performance award Apollo Video has received from New Flyer and the third consecutive gold rating. Apollo Video provides New Flyer with the mobile video surveillance systems.

Lynnwood chiropractor to hold grand opening

The Joint… the chiropractic place will celebrate the grand opening of its clinic at 3 p.m. Wednesday at 6208 196th St. SW, Suite 103, Lynnwood, with a Lynnwood Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. The clinic will again offer free adjustments in addition to complimentary refreshments, raffle giveaways and fun activities for kids.

PUD selects four solar projects

Snohomish County PUD is finalizing plans for four additional solar projects to be installed this year. The four 2014 projects are: the Camano Center; Valley View Middle School; Work Opportunities Lynnwood; and the Marysville YMCA. The projects were selected through a grant-application process that evaluated technical feasibility, site visibility and cost-competitiveness, the availability of matching funds and applicant’s outreach/educational plans.
