New president for Quantum Windows

Quantum Windows &Doors in Everett has announced the selection of Melissa Benton as its new company president. She assumed the role on May 1. Benton has an extensive history with Quantum and has worked in both operational and production roles within the company. Most recently she acted as the director of Client Services.

Snohomish County Boys &Girls Clubs receives Power Hour grant

The Boys &Girls Clubs of Snohomish County thanked the Wells Fargo Foundation after it received a grant for $20,000 to implement Power Hour. The afterschool homework help and tutoring program helps youth stay current on coursework and achieve academic success. Clubs dedicate an hour Monday through Thursday for youth to complete their homework.

Photos sought for Swedish/Edmonds expansion

Members of the community are invited to submit digital images that, if selected, will be turned into long-lasting pieces of art to showcase in the new Swedish/Edmonds hospital expansion. The expansion is scheduled to break ground in September and be completed fall 2015. Submissions are due by July 17. For more information, visit www.swedish.org/edmonds.

Marysville Rotary needs golf tournament sponsors

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for Marysville Sunrise Rotary’s 4th Annual Golf Tournament and Louisiana Shrimp Boil on Sept. 13. The charity event includes an all-you-can-eat shrimp dinner, a raffle and auction. Spaces are also still available for golf teams. Book early as the event sells out quickly. ‘Meet the Brewer’ tonight in Lynnwood

Foggy Noggin Brewing will be featured at a ‘Meet the Brewer’ night at Special Brews in Lynnwood. The event from 6 to 8 p.m. is at the beer store at 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307. It’s a chance for people to try Foggy Noggin beers, chat with the brewer and win some Foggy Noggin gear. Eight Foggy Noggin beers will be available: Bit O’Beaver (English Bitter); Christmas Duck (Porter); Matty’s Mild (English Dark Mild); Swoop (Dry Hopped ESB); Chief Lightfoot (Irish Red); Little Lucy (Special Bitter); Rufus (English IPA); and Big Rufus (English Imperial IPA).
