SEATTLE — An 89-year-old Maryland man who was injured in a crash on U.S. 2 this past weekend remains hospitalized.
The man was listed Tuesday in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The crash also remains under investigation by the Washington State Patrol, trooper Mark Francis said.
It happened about 1 p.m. where the highway crosses Fern Bluff Road, between Monroe and Sultan.
Troopers believe that a Honda Civic was crossing the highway when it was struck by a westbound Saturn.
The Maryland man, who was a passenger in the Saturn, suffered a head injury. His wife, 85, suffered a broken leg.
No other serious injuries were reported.
