Doctor chosen president of Rotary Club of Everett
Mark Valentine, M.D., has been sworn in as president of the Rotary Club of Everett. A Rotary member since 1996, Valentine will lead the club’s 147 members as they provide community and international service. He takes over from Maddy Metzger-Utt. Other officers and board members were also inducted. John Olson was recognized as Rotarian of the Year.
New hires at LoanStar
LoanStar Home Lending has added employees at the Everett branch. Randall “Randy” Brockway has joined LoanStar as a branch manager in Everett. He has more than a decade of experience in the mortgage industry. Andrew “Andy” Jaeger is the new business marketing specialist at the Everett branch. Cameron Lillibridge joined the branch as a processor.
Flight for Sight run raises $14,000
More than 140 runners took part in Machinists Union District Lodge 751‘s annual Flight for Sight fun run on June 7 in Everett. It generated more than $14,000 for Guide Dogs of America. The totals were just shy of last year’s all-time records. Over the past 13 years, the Flight for Sight has raised approximately $147,000 for Guide Dogs of America.
Nonprofits compete to use vehicles from Edmonds dealership
Seven local nonprofits are vying for the opportunity to acquire the use of three vehicles at no cost provided by Campbell Nelson Motors in Edmonds. The nonprofit that ends up with the most votes each month will be awarded a vehicle to use. Anyone 18 and older can participate in the voting at CampbellNelson.com.
