Edmonds builder wins local, state awards

After winning three awards at the Master Builders of King &Snohomish Counties REX Awards, Howard Chermak, president of Chermak Construction, drove to Pasco to the Building Industry Association of Washington’s annual BIAW awards event to accept three more. This year, the Edmonds-based company has brought home awards on both local and state levels.

Financial planner named to company’s Presidential Council

Shari Jenkins, a certified financial planner in Waddell &Reed’s Lynnwood office, has been named to Waddell &Reed’s 2014 President’s Council. It is one of its highest honors for the firm’s financial advisers. This is the fourth time she has received this honor. Jenkins has been a professional in the financial services industry for 30 years.

Terrace lauded for its financial reporting

The City of Mountlake Terrace was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2012 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. It is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
