Kudos: Snohomish chamber presents volunteer, special recognition awards

The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce presented its annual volunteer and special recognition awards at its April 15 membership luncheon meeting. Those who received awards included Darrell Charles, Marci Volmer, Kim Thunder, Roy Tellof Jr. and Madeleine Boucher. The Snohomish Kiwanis Glacier Peak High School Key Club also was recognized.

The Cascade Valley Hospital Wound Care &Hyperbaric Medicine Center has received recognition as a Center for Excellence for 2013. This award indicates that the center has achieved outstanding patient outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction of more than 92 percent and a minimum 91 percent wound healing rate within 30 median days to heal.

Seattle Goodwill Industries honored Everett Community College as an outstanding community partner (nonprofit) for assisting with Goodwill’s new Marysville Youth Aerospace Program. EvCC supported the development of the program, including creating a pre-employment course and offering tours and demonstrations to young participants. An award was presented at a ceremony Feb. 16.
