I’m tired of hearing about Oso. Really. The people who lived in the slide area chose to live there, in spite of the history of the area. They weren’t forced to live there due to poverty, or race, or religion, or ethnic cleansing, or any of a hundred other atrocities that people are exposed to every day on this planet. Yes, it is sad that people died. Yes, I feel bad for their loved ones. But hundreds of people die every day that had no choice over where or how they lived.
Oso was a tragedy, but enough is enough. Let’s move on.
