Tulalips give $5,000 to senior center
The Tulalip Tribes Charitable Fund has donated $5,000 to the Lake Stevens Senior Center. The senior center provides social programs, classes and instruction to people 55 and older in and around Lake Stevens. The Tulalips have supported nearly 300 local organizations since 1993 and partners with Snohomish County and cities to strengthen communities.
Clean Sweep starts Saturday: Marysville is seeking volunteers to help the city tackle cleaning and beautification. The focus this year is Marysville’s three busiest and visible north-south roadways: State Avenue, 51st Avenue-Shoultes Road and 67th Avenue. City crews also will clear brush and pressure-wash pedestrian walkways.
The City Council budgeted $60,000 for neighborhood Clean Sweep activities in 2014. To participate, contact Parks Maintenance Manager Mike Robinson at 360-363-8406 or email mrobinson@marysvillewa.gov.
