Updated vote tallies show that of the 18,887 ballots counted so far in the Everett bond request, 58.3 percent voted in favor while it was opposed by 41.7 percent.
For the second time in as many months, voters in the Everett School District were asked to approve a bond issue to pay for major projects including a new high school.
Wednesday’s results showed Lakewood’s bond measure, which would pay for renovation of the high school and was rejected in February, being approved by 60.08 percent of the 3,096 votes counted so far.
Ballots will continue to be counted this week.
