People Watching: New hire at Ticor Title

Kathy Huber has announced her new association with Ticor Title Company as the company’s vice president county manager of Snohomish County. Huber is an industry veteran and a lifelong resident of Snohomish County. Ticor Title is a member of the Fidelity National Financial family of title companies.

The Mountlake Terrace City Council on April 7 appointed the following members to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee: Ayesha Sheikh, Laura Peckinpaugh, Carol Brickel and Carol McMahan. The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee makes funding recommendations to the City Council for organizations that promote tourism in Mountlake Terrace.

Carletta McKinney has opened Dakota’s Dog Washing Service in Edmonds. The business is willing to accept so-called “bully breed” dogs, such as pit bulls and Rottweilers, which they say a majority of other groomers will not take. McKinney accepts animal clients based on the individual rather than the breed.

Doug McIalwain has rejoined Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Company to head up the operations of its Spokane store and showroom. The company has also appointed Gallagher Marketing Group to represent its five product lines in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Cabinet Savvy Group will represent its five product lines in Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
