Scholarships &Awards

Mukilteo Way Garden Club is offering a $1,000 Scholarship for horticulture studies at Edmonds Community College. Current EdCC students, high school students and adult learners are eligible. Evergreen Awards: Mountlake Terrace is accepting nominations for its annual Evergreen Awards, which recognize property owners who take great care of their properties. Nomination forms are at www.cityofmlt.com and at city facilities. Accepted through May 28.

Home, sweet, home: Monte Cristo Awards honor Everett property owners who have shown extensive pride in their home or business. Awards are given in three categories: Rejuvenation and Transformation; Pride of the Neighborhood; and Neighborhood-Friendly Business. Deadline for entries is June 15. An awards ceremony is Oct. 13. Nomination forms are available at everettwa.gov/montecristo, Everett Library branches, the city’s Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, the PUD and local home improvement, paint and lumber stores.

Camano Island Backyard Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour: Features landscaping for wildlife, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25; maps at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 NE Camano Dr., the day of the event; free; www.camanowildlifehabitat.org.
