Meeting on proposed Picnic Point development

Neighbors who oppose a proposed 112-home development on steep, forested terrain above Picnic Point Road plan to meet for a discussion Sunday night.

The Picnic Point Preservation Committee worries that the development on 60th Avenue W, known as Frognal Estates, would increase traffic, storm runoff and landslide risks. They would like to see the 22-acre site turned into a park and trailhead.

The meeting is planned for 7 p.m. at Mukilteo City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way. It is to feature geotechnical and hydrological reports about the property.
