Announcements: Pilchuck Veterinary Clinic doing house calls; Cornerstone Chiropractic adds equipment

Cornerstone Chiropractic of Everett has announced the acquisition of new technology to provide advanced chiropractic care to auto accident victims. This new tool, combined with X-ray imaging, helps chiropractor Michael Ilyankoff to identify the location where special attention or adjustments are needed and isolate that area for specialized attention.

Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital has introduced veterinary house calls for dogs and cats. In addition, the practice now schedules Sunday small-animal appointments at the hospital, for seven-day-a-week coverage. The hospital is offering these expanded options for appointments to increase client convenience.

With the help of the Small Business Administration’s Surety Bond Guarantee Program, small construction firms were awarded more than $1.2 billion in contracts in fiscal year 2013. This number represents a 61 percent increase over fiscal year 2012. The guarantee program encourages surety companies to bond small businesses who are having difficulty obtaining bonding on their own.

Consumer advocacy site NerdWallet.com recently released a list of the 20 best places for homeownership in Washington. Mill Creek East in Snohomish County came in at No. 2 on the list. Other Snohomish County neighborhoods on the list were Eastmont, Silver Firs and Bothell West.
