MONROE — No one was hurt Wednesday night after a small plane took a hard landing in Monroe.
The accident was reported at 7 p.m. at the Firstair Field airport, Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said.
The pilot, a 50-year-old Duvall man, told police that his experimental plane’s propeller fell off shortly after takeoff. He attempted to glide back to the runway but went down in a field just west of the airfield, Willis said.
Monroe police are investigating, along with the Federal Aviation Administration.
